Hi there, it's February already!!! Time just flew away and in just two months it'll be spring again :) Don't get me wrong, I love the magic feeling only winter can give you... And the chilly surf session with no one around...

Anyway, February is also the month of love. And for this Saint Valentine's day I wanted to give you three ready-to-print special love cards FOR FREE. I am so happy I can finally wear all the pieces from Surfragette + Adalù collection!!!

I can finally see and touch the results of this amazing collaboration, which is almost like giving birth to a baby.

Valeria and I joined forces, skills and passion in order to offer you the best quality products, all made in Italy. During this period of time, not only a collection was born, but also a friendship.

The prints give us thoughts of summer all year long and the soft touch of the fabric makes me want to wear them in and out of the beach...

The past weekend gave us the perfect weather to do a photoshooting for the collection. The sun was shining high in the sky and the early-summer beach wasn't that crowded yet. Andrea and I spent the whole morning on the shore and recharged the batteries for the upcoming week.

I am so happy to be representing this collection! I hope you like it as much as I do! :)

Surf buddies

Since it's almost Christmas and we're all about good vibes and giving, I wanted to dedicate this post to the meaning of "sharing" and telling a little more about my personal experience - sharing a passion of a lifetime.

I've been lucky enough to find my better half in a surfer. If you don't like surfing and don't enjoy being in the water, being a surfer's girlfriend can be tough. And, really girls, I understand you!

...the sudden twists of daily planning because the wind turned the right way, that upset face after a missed lifetime session who could be the best of the year, saving money for a new board when what you really need is a new washing machine...

The thing is, I'm totally into it too! And I am so grateful of being able to understand all those kind of feelings crossing my boyfriend's mind. Having another person to live with and to feel for is always (and always will be) an emotional roller-coaster. But a common passion can tightly bound your relationship and make you stronger.

That's what I learnt from my experience: being there for each other, deeply understand each other's feelings and having fun together is the foundation of a great and strong love story.

And I thank everyday for that.

But hey, don't get me wrong. I am totally in for weekly me-times and I think there are some activities and places that MUST be totally forbidden to your better half - we don't need to share really everything.

But anyway, even if you're not into surfing or you don't share the same hobby with your partner, try to find a common passion and invest yourselves in it.

This could well be a good new year's resolution! ;)

It is not just about giving and receiving gift and treats (which I love by the way), but feeling that very same fire inside you - this is the meaning of sharing to me.

With friends and love

The other weekend the waves were too big for longboarding here in Biarritz, so we decided to drive south where the waves are always smaller and spend the afternoon there.

The Plage of Hendaye on the border with Spain usually works better when the tide is mid to high, but who the heck cares about tides anymore?!? Normally we do - and everybody should, but weekend is for not over-thinking too much and "going with the flow" and all the rest.

Bottom line: we arrived there and found ourselves surfing a bunch of close-outs sliding across weekenders crowds and foamy boards.

But, guess what, we had so much fun! The weather was good, the sunshine turned magic into the golden hour soon (and you know how much I love sunset sessions) and we collected great memories together thanks to the beautiful photographer for the day Floraine. Plus we added a great after-session Mexican burrito who's always welcomed around here.

This has been kind of my perfect weekend.

So yes, even if the waves weren't the best, surfing with friends and love is just the best thing ever ever ever.

Sunset sessions

I was born at 6pm on a mid-May day, and I always thought this influenced my life in some way. I wouldn't call myself a morning person at all – let’s just say you had better not talk to me before 10:00am… and I always feel at my best around happy hour time.

That's why I have always preferred surfing at the end of the day. My energy is awakened and my senses can feel the light breeze, while the day melts into the night.

Sunset sessions bring something magical with them... You can say it's the golden hour, with its amazing surreal colors. Or the perfumes coming from the houses before dinner. Again, the sound of seagulls and the people leaving the water to let you finally enjoy that bit of solitude. And me mentally singing "Golden Brown" by The Smiths...

And everything is just so peaceful and quiet. It's only you, a few friends maybe, and the waves. Beautiful golden waves silently approaching to you. And you slide along them smiling, knowing the sun is calmly going down.

Until you can't see your own shadow reflected on the surface any more...

Yes, sunset is definitely the most magical moment of the day.
