With friends and love

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

The other weekend the waves were too big for longboarding here in Biarritz, so we decided to drive south where the waves are always smaller and spend the afternoon there.

The Plage of Hendaye on the border with Spain usually works better when the tide is mid to high, but who the heck cares about tides anymore?!? Normally we do - and everybody should, but weekend is for not over-thinking too much and "going with the flow" and all the rest.

Bottom line: we arrived there and found ourselves surfing a bunch of close-outs sliding across weekenders crowds and foamy boards.

But, guess what, we had so much fun! The weather was good, the sunshine turned magic into the golden hour soon (and you know how much I love sunset sessions) and we collected great memories together thanks to the beautiful photographer for the day Floraine. Plus we added a great after-session Mexican burrito who's always welcomed around here.
This has been kind of my perfect weekend.

So yes, even if the waves weren't the best, surfing with friends and love is just the best thing ever ever ever.

Do you have memories about surfing with friends to share?

I hope your weekend was bright and salty too!

Sunny days

Tuesday, September 2, 2014

L'été indien: that's how they call it here.
A late summer during autumn months. It has finally come!
Ok, I'm not so sure about it. But whatever, Barritz is giving us some warm and sunny days lately and forecasts announce good swells and sun!

And I'm definitely determined to take advantage of it all.
Olé!

Above a few shots from a weekend with friends up north next to Hossegor. We had so much fun - logging, sun and beach time!

I hope you're having a great salty week!

About Italian surfers

Saturday, January 25, 2014
Now that I am back home - even if just for a short holiday time, I am realizing why I love surfing in Italy.

Ok, I know, we don't have huge swells and waves are rare birds here, but when it comes to surfing Italians are the most enthusiastic people I know.

It's freezing cold in Europe! If you're not one of the girls who love to shred the mountains and to feel the snow falling while gently caressing your face, maybe you need a vacation. And if you're dreaming about taking a walk on white sand beaches, while sipping your piña colada after a surf sesh in warm clear water, that's for you!

Surf, salsa, adventures, Caribbean, waterfalls, lots of fun, nature paradise, warm weather... What else? All in Puerto Rico!
